First PostJam Update!


Hello! This is a mini update for some bug fixes and some slight improvements:

  • Fixed a kill box enabling when not in The Lost Isle.
  • Added an extra sign to The Underground.
  • Tweaked starting area layout to try and teach the rolling and jump chaining a bit easier.
  • Added an extra Ladybug Statue to The Islands with new offshoot that hopefully helps teach chain jumps.
  • Increased most checkpoint trigger sizes.
  • Added an extra checkpoint in The Forgotten Castle.
  • Jump pitch change for each chained jump.
  • Clear time in ending room.
  • Breakable rock at the entrance of The Underground re-appears once re-entering The Islands.
  • Idle camera animation when inactive for 30 seconds.
  • Better aspect ratio for eventual Windows build.
  • Slightly increased chain jump timer.
  • Signs properly handle fog.
  • Added blob shadow to signs.

Nice update! I see more signs around and they should help teaching the mechanics. When designing my any% speedrun route I noticed something kinda odd about the gem placements:

As gems are the main collectable and scattered along the main path, these 9 gems being hidden in the cave with the trophy felt bit weird to me. I think maybe it's better to move them to the main route (and leave only the trophy here) so it's easier to unlock the final area (Lost Isle) :3

Ahhh that is true! I will move those out, I think that was an oversight.
